Estimator

Location: Mentor, Ohio

Cleveland Construction is seeking an Estimator with commercial construction experience to join our general contracting division in Mentor, Ohio. Focusing on new construction - in the public and private sectors - the successful candidate will have a strong history of cost estimating and subcontractor purchasing for jobs ranging between $1 million and $50 million. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, computer skills, and have an established estimating track record in the commercial construction industry.

Project Scheduler
Location: Mentor, Ohio

About the Job
Cleveland Construction, Inc. is seeking a full-time mid-level construction scheduler to support the project management of the company’s commercial general contracting projects. This individual will be responsible for project planning, project scheduling and monitoring of all the company’s construction activities. This position will be based in Mentor, OH with travel to project sites throughout the U.S. to support project teams in developing and managing construction schedules.

Duties:
  • Prepare preliminary construction schedules for bidding projects.
  • Prepare preconstruction schedules for all Construction Management work.
  • Lead the development of a baseline construction schedule along with the project teams input for all awarded projects.
  • Analyze schedules to determine duration and logic issues.
  • Provide bi-weekly and monthly schedule updates and progress reports.
  • Participate is bi-weekly project meeting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
  • Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, engineering or related field
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of planning and scheduling experience in the building construction industry.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Project and Primavera software.
  • Experience with Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
  • Must have the ability to set and manage priorities.
  • A solid understanding of updating existing schedules.
  • Construction background and ability to evaluate and develop a construction schedule.
  • Requires proficient computer skills including MS Office and timberline project management software.

Project Manager
Location: Mentor, Ohio

About the Job
Cleveland Construction, Inc. is seeking a full-time project manager responsible for the overall management of the company’s commercial general contracting projects.​ This individual will be responsible to plan, coordinate, direct and supervise personnel, subcontractors, and vendors engaged on multiple projects. The project manager will regularly interface with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors to ensure projects meet all contractual requirements while also meeting or exceeding expectations for schedule, budget, quality and safety. This position will be based in Mentor, OH with travel to project sites throughout the U.S.

Duties:
  • Provide overall management of commercial construction projects.
  • Establish project objectives and policies.
  • Maintain client relationships.
  • Monitor construction and financial activities. 
  • Prepare and update construction schedule.
  • Accountable for project completion, financials, critical success factors and customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
  • Bachelor Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial project management
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects
  • Solid & capable of understanding of commercial building processes and systems
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks is required
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in use of MS Project & Primavera software

Human Resources Coordinator
Location: Mentor, Ohio

About the Job
Cleveland Construction, Inc. is seeking a full-time Human Resources Coordinator for its general contracting division located in Mentor, OH.​ In this position, candidate will provide staffing/hiring administration for the company’s various construction professionals and support including applicant tracking, internal and external position postings, background and reference checks, interview candidates, write offer letters and provide new hire orientations. Candidate will report directly to the Vice President of Construction and also work closely with the General Field Superintendent. Knowledge of the commercial construction industry preferred. Applicants outside of the Northeast Ohio area need not apply.

Other Duties:
  • Manage employee benefit enrollment and documentation.
  • Attend construction career fairs at various universities.
  • Interview all potential new hires and provide recommendations to upper management.
  • Assist and advise company managers on human resources related issues.
  • Process new hire and termination paperwork.
  • Maintain updated new hire forms and employee manuals.
  • Write employment ads for various positions.
  • Maintain employee files.
  • Manage employee licensing, certifications and training results.

The successful candidate must have an undergraduate degree in human resources or a related field, proficiency in MS Office, basic knowledge of HR laws, ability to work independently as well as part of a team, strong verbal and written communication skills, well organized and have the ability to travel to local career fairs as required. Field Superintendents

Location: Multiple Locations

Cleveland Construction has immediate openings for qualified superintendents responsible for on-site supervision and management of large commercial construction projects throughout the Midwest, Northeast and South Atlantic regions. Candidate must be able to supervise a large construction project to insure timely and quality completion by following aggressive schedules. Duties include managing subcontractors, scheduling and sequencing trades, implementing safety program, planning, monitoring and controlling the project and adhering to company policies and procedures.
