Project Overview
Cleveland Construction self-performed as the interior trades contractor for the Rocky Mountain VA Medical Center for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Aurora, Colorado.
The new full-services, state-of-the-art medical center was constructed on the site of the former Fitzsimons Army Base and Medical Center. The 31-acre campus features over 1.21 million SF of medical space and consists of 8 buildings and 3 parking structures that are connected by a curved central concourse that runs the length of the campus.
The center includes a clinical building, 2 inpatient towers with 148 beds, a 328,457 SF diagnostic and treatment facilities, a 62,927 SF research building, a community living center, and a central energy plant. The campus also houses above- and below-ground parking structures.
The project is seeking LEED Silver certification.
