C-17 Corrosion Control & Fuel Cell Hanger

Cleveland Construction is serving as the general contractor for the construction of a new C-17 Corrosion Control and Fuel Cell Hangar that will achieve a USGBC LEED Silver Certifiable level of construction. The project includes a 43,500 SF hangar and a 17,500 SF shop/administration area.

Scope of work includes a conventional shallow spread footing foundation system; long-span, custom-fabricated steel trusses with an open-web steel joist supporting steel deck roof construction; reinforced concrete masonry bearing/sheer wall structure at support areas; standing seam and membrane roofing; structural rigid airfield paving; heavy-duty flexible paving; a fire suppression pump house with a high-expansion foam system in the hangar bay; and mezzanine floors comprised of reinforced concrete slab-on-deck with composite steel beams.
