PROJECT INFORMATION
Cleveland Construction is contracted as the Construction Manager at-Risk for the historic restoration and adaptive reuse of the Halle Building.
The historic Halle Building was built in the early 1900’s and renamed the Residences at Halle in 2017. The building was originally the Halle Bros. Department store, specializing in higher-end merchandise. During the late 1990s, the building was also used as the main location of the fictional Winfred-Louder store in “The Drew Carey Show” on ABC. The Halle Building is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
This 12-story, 323,000 square-foot building being converted from office space to 122 luxury apartments on floors 6-11. The 5 lower stories will feature multiple office tenants.
The renovations include the build-out of 165,000 square-feet of luxury apartment units, with high-end finishes such as, granite counter tops, tile showers, and walk-in showers featuring glass doors. 22 residential units include per floor on levels 6-10. Level 11 will feature 12 penthouse units.
Renovations of the interior will also include a fitness room, business center, and an open atrium to allow natural light in the living space. Modifications of the existing hydronic piped system backbone, refurbishing and installing new water source heat pumps will be included in the restoration.
Renovations of the exterior will include restoration of the existing terracotta facade.
