Cleveland Construction was the general contractor for the retail redevelopment of the Eastgate Station Shopping Center located Cincinnati, Ohio. Cleveland Construction started on providing preconstruction services for the Eastgate Station Shopping Center in August 2014.
The Eastgate Station Shopping Center was a retail strip center rehabilitation and redevelopment project that was phased over 2 years. Our construction team managed the entire redevelop that consisted of multiple tenant build-outs for Michaels, Gordmans, Stein Mart, HomeGoods, Kirklands, Ulta, Dress Barn, Five Below, and a future shoe tenant. These tenant build-outs included slab-on-grade concrete, new RTU units, new MEPs, interiors finishes, and the exterior included new masonry and metal framing vestibules and storefronts.
The project also includes the construction of two new 4,800 square-foot and 7,000 square-foot retail outparcels. Site work for the project included asphalt parking lots, site lighting, signage, utility installation and retaining walls.
Cleveland Construction successfully solved challenges with the project such as coordinating with the Department of Transporation (DOT) with reconfiguring the shopping center’s new entrance, existing tenants would remain open during all phases of the shopping center’s redevelopment, and demolition and new construction of shell spaces for the junior anchor stores.
