Mark T. Small is a Principal and Chief Financial Officer of Cleveland Construction. His leadership reflects the long-standing continuance of dependability and responsibility established by Mr. Smalls’ father and founder of Cleveland Construction, Inc., Richard G. Small.
Mark is directly responsible for overseeing all phases of accounting, insurance, bonding, self-insured programs, banking and financial risk management. He is also involved in business development and project administration. He also crossovers and handles financial activities for related family business interests. For Cleveland Construction, he is also involved in General Contracting, Construction Management, self-performing interior construction as well as private development projects, real estate acquisitions.
Mark has received several Excellence in Construction awards from the Associate Builders and Contractors (ABC) for the Ohio Center for Performing Arts, Orange County Convention Center, Tidewater Community College; Terminator 2: 3D at the Universal Studios in Orlando; DAAP Project for the University of Cincinnati, Mentor Maintenance Facility in Mentor, Ohio; Classic Auto’s Luxury Auto Campus Dealerships; and the $40 million historical renovation of The Residences at 668 Euclid in downtown Cleveland.
He is a recipient of Cleveland Crain’s 40 under 40; Past President of A.B.C. Northern Ohio Chapter; National EVP for Associated Builders & Contractors; Contractor of the Year from A.B.C.
Mark has served on the board(s) for; The Construction Legal Rights Foundation; The Lake Hospital Foundation; The Construction Education Foundation; The Trimmer Education Foundation; The National Center for Construction Education & Research and remains dedicated to training the youth of our industry.
