David S. Sawicki is located in Charlotte, NC and is responsible for overseeing our Construction Management and Preconstruction Services. His duties include project planning, scheduling, cost estimating, quality management, contract administration and safety management.
David began work as an intern at Cleveland Construction in 1997 while he was a Construction Management student at the Purdue University. Upon graduation, David was hired full-time and gained valuable experience as an assistant project manager, project manager, and senior project manager. David’s work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to successfully deliver challenging projects led to his appointment as Vice President of Construction in 2010.
David’s contributions have been instrumental in managing the historic rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of many projects in downtown Cleveland, including The Residences at 668 Euclid, Calfee Building, The Residences at Hanna, The Residences at 1717, and, most recently, the Schofield Building & Kimpton Hotel. David’s key role in shaping downtown Cleveland earned him recognition as one of Crain’s Cleveland Business “Forty Under 40” class of 2013.
Nationally, David has managed the construction of many large projects including the Chamblee Retail Village in Chamblee, Georgia and the construction of the world’s largest Candlewood Suites Hotel in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Now located in Charlotte, David is overseeing the construction of the AC Hotel & Residence Inn Charlotte City Center in Uptown Charlotte and the adaptive reuse of the iconic 20-story BB&T Tower in Asheville, North Carolina.
