Our Mentor office was recently awarded the contract
to manage the exterior façade and ticket lobby rehabilitation at
Cleveland Hopkins International (CLE) Airport located in Cleveland,
Ohio.
The project includes the renovation of the Lower Level
Baggage Claim area, Upper-Level Ticket Counter area, and Security
Checkpoint 'B'.
The scope of work for the Lower Level Baggage
Claim area includes the replacement of the existing façade cladding and
glazing system, including canopy cladding and soffit; replacement of
existing entry vestibule sliding door assemblies.
Demolition of
the existing façade and canopy enclosures; construction of a curtain
wall glazed façade with an extended metal panel clad canopy structure;
replacement of existing entry vestibules with revolving door entrances
and sliding automatic entrances; replacement of the existing carpet and
ceramic tile flooring with a resinous epoxy terrazzo flooring;
replacement of the existing ceiling assembly in the ticketing terminal
with be done to the Upper-Level Ticket Counter area.
Security
Checkpoint 'B' scope of work includes the demolition of existing public
restrooms and stair approach from Ticketing to the Security Checkpoint;
construction of new public restroom at the Ticketing Level; construction
of a ramp and stair approach from Ticketing to the Security Checkpoint.
Construction is scheduled to begin April 2015 and be substantially completed by the Republican National Convention in June 2016.
