Cleveland Construction, Inc. is celebrating the completed construction of the new TownePlace Suites by Marriott located in the downtown medical center area of Orlando, Florida.
This 6-story, 73,000 square-foot hotel consists of 110 guestrooms with various support functions. The ground floor features custom finishes and includes a guest lobby with lounges, a breakfast room with communal areas, a full-service bar, food preparation areas, restrooms, a fitness center, and an outdoor swimming pool. This extended-stay hotel was built using masonry and precast plank construction.
Service areas on the ground floor included laundry facility, sales offices, an employee breakroom, storage, electrical, and maintenance spaces.
The new custom TownePlace Suites in downtown Orlando also include numerous site improvements such as asphalt parking lots with controlled gate access, landscaping, sidewalks, concrete pavers at the entrance of the hotel, a porte-cochere, and site lighting.
A unique feature in the TownePlace project is Marriott incorporated custom finishes such as colors, natural stone lobby, metal panel ceiling in the fitness room, patio fire pits, hand-built custom casework in each room, distinctive textures, and custom light fixtures.
The hotel broke ground in March 2019, was developed by 51 Columbia Hotel Property, LLC, and designed by LLW Architects, Inc. Cleveland Construction provided general contracting services for the project TownePlace Suites in downtown Orlando. The TownePlace Suites hotel will open to the public in the Fall of 2020.
