Controlled Access

Managing site access and worker orientation.

Pesky gatekeepers.

Simply put, no one enters or leaves our construction sites without us knowing. We enforce this through our Controlled Access Program that is designed to:

  • Ensure all individuals on our sites are accounted for and have proper work eligibility in the U.S.
  • Provide worker orientation and awareness of jobsite-specific safety requirements
  • Protect the general public from entering construction areas

Getting workers oriented.

Cleveland introduces new workers to the goals and policies of the Controlled Access Program. The orientation includes I-9 employment eligibility verification, construction access review, site-specific safety training and other project-specific good-to-knows.

Making sure workers are legit.

Rest assured Cleveland employs a strict registration and verification process to confirm each worker is authorized to work in the United States, in full compliance with federal and local laws.

Created specifically to be compliant with federal regulations including the Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify program, our worker registration program makes certain that all individuals on your project are trained for the work assigned. Easily visible I.D. badges ensure we have the right people on the jobsite.

Public defenders.

Access control points are established on all project sites to protect the public from wandering in. These points are gated and manned by a gatekeeper. All workers are checked in and out with a digital QR code scanner. Beep! Real-time data of who is on the project site can be viewed by our management team at any time. Above all, we work diligently to ensure every worker is accounted for and the public is safe from hazards, ultimately minimizing disruptions during construction.

FAQs

A. Our jobsite managers are all designated “Competent Persons” trained to identify and eliminate hazards so that we maintain a safe environment for workers as well as the surrounding public.
