Cleveland Construction Receives ABC’s "Excellence In Construction" Award

Cleveland, OH – Cleveland Construction, Inc. has been named the recipient of the 2009 “Excellence In Construction” award, from the Northern Ohio Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) for its historical renovation work on the Prospect Avenue building at Residences At Six Six Euclid in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.
ABC’s 2009 Excellence In Construction awards program recognizes the outstanding projects built by members of the Northern Ohio Chapter members. In addition to ABC’s excellence award, Cleveland Construction had earlier received the Merit Award for its outstanding quality of work constructing 2 car dealership buildings in Northeast Ohio.
The Residences at Six Six Eight Euclid project consists of two historic buildings, located on Euclid Ave. and Prospect Ave. connected by a 73-foot atrium. The Prospect Ave. building on this project has been completely converted from a department store and office building into a luxury apartment and retail complex. The building went through a complete demolition of the interior and exterior skin to remove all the modern finishes that uncovered the historical finishes and exterior facade. The south face of the building was completely striped in the EIFS and damaged limestone and resorted with all new limestone. In restoring the exterior skin to its original appearance, Cleveland Construction worked with the design team to comply with all historical guidelines and ensured adherence to The Department of the Interior Standards for Rehabilitation.
