Project Description:
As a testament to our commitment to respond quickly to the needs of our customers, Cleveland Construction, Inc. was called upon to take control of an 87-acre site after suffering a devastating landslide.
The project, located near Pittsburgh features erosion and sediment control from a variety of practices and products, including hydraulic seeding and mulching, straw wattles, rolled erosion control products, channels lined with grass, coconut blankets and rockfilled gabion baskets.
Nearly 450,000 cubic yards of material buried four lanes of the adjacent I-65 freeway and railway snarling both commuter and rail traffic. In conjunction with on-site engineers, the team quickly developed a plan and implemented appropriate stabilization and erosion and sedimentation controls.
Cleveland Construction, Inc. currently maintains the erosion and sedimentation controls by conducting delay inspections and continues to monitor soil conditions and stabilization efforts. Limited site work is underway to achieve sustainable and safe building pads for future retail development. Through building strong relationships with engineers, local, and state authorities, Cleveland Construction ensures that our clients will be able to stay ahead of their competition even in the face of a natural disaster.
