Project Description:
Cleveland Construction, Inc. (CCI) served as the design/builder for the construction of a 51,250 square-foot warehouse, offices, and manufacturing space for Telling Industries, Inc. The project features: a regional sales office, manufacturing assembly lines, slitter pits, shipping/receiving, six high bay doors; raw material storage, a 5-ton and 30-ton overhead crane, rail spur, new electrical and mechanical, fire suppression, security, data and telecommunications systems, equipment start-up and training.
As Telling Industries third metal stud manufacturing facility (second performed by CCI), the critical design consideration was the efficient and logical progression of raw materials through the manufacturing process. To accomplish this, the DB team acquired the services of an industrial engineer to analyze process requirements and translate into design. Unlike the previous manufacturing facility we designed/built for Telling Industries, this facility was integrated with an adjacent rail spur. The 30-ton crane was designed to have the ability to unload rail cars from inside the facility by “booming” out. The 5-ton crane could then maneuver the raw material into position once inside the facility for the assembly lines.
"We were very impressed with the work performed and the end result of the building in Kingman, AZ. Cleveland Construction finished the project on-time and under budget."
