Cleveland Construction, Inc. (CCI) knows how to save money – if it’s the right thing to do. Of course, we love to save our clients money, but we will only recommend these value engineering measures if they will maintain the safety and excellence of the more expensive materials.

At Steelyard Commons’ Walmart, we were able to save the client more than $500,000 and still deliver the same great product for them on time.

In addition to value engineering, CCI strives to deliver innovative process solutions. One of those solutions on this project was presenting and overseeing the engineers’ suggestion to counteract
future settlement on the jobsite.

Acting on this new direction, the site team drove nearly 800 piles at a depth of 35-feet to support 12-inch structural slabs. Below-slab piping was supported from the structural slab with stainless steel hangers and all piping was then wrapped in styrofoam and backfilled with sand.
