The $150 million expansion of the TriHealth’s Bethesda Hospital in Montgomery, Ohio increases the overall inpatient capacity by more than 45 percent enabling Bethesda North to care for between 10,000 and 11,000 additional patients each year upon its completion in 2008. The project is expected to create an additional 400 jobs in the greater Cincinnati area. The expansion features a 300,000 square-foot seven story patient care tower, 132 new private medical-surgical beds, 10 which are ready, a new Critical Care unit with 32 replacement intensive care unit beds, a hospital based MRI, and new cafeteria. This new building integrates leading edge technology to enhance the ability to meet the needs of patients today and well in to the future.
